Let's chat about acne...
All of us, at one point or another have struggled with the effects of acne - which usually makes us not feel very confident, and let's be honest - it's painful too!
I have been struggling with acne the past few weeks, and I found myself frustrated and very self-conscious.
Fortunately - I remembered that I have all the tools I need to succeed! My Annique product kit!
So one evening, I decided it was time for an intervention. I cleansed my skin with my usual cleanser (Hydrafine Gentle Cleanser for normal and combination skin) and with that I exfoliated with my favourite - the Essense Enzymatic Exfoliator. This is great for sensitive skins, and the fruit enzymes helps to clear out blackheads & whiteheads. After I rinsed it off, I applied a generous layer of Essense Skin Detox, and on top of that the Antioxidant Radiance Masque. This helps your skin to calm down, helps with uneven skin tone and gives your skin a major boost in antioxidants!
This worked wonders for my skin, and I could see the next morning the difference on my skin and the feel of it. It wasn't so painful and red anymore, and the acne seemed to have calmed down completely.
It's so important to use the CORRECT skincare products for your skin, because it can sensitise your skin if you don't!
With that in mind here are a few others factors to consider when you are struggling with your skin:
- Are you drinking enough water everyday?
- Are you drinking your recommended 6 cups of Rooibos tea per day, or rinsing with rooibos infused water every morning?
- When last did you wash your towels?
- When last did you replace your pillow cases, and your duvet covers?
- Are you eating your fruits & veggies as you should? and drinking your supplements?
Remember that most of the vitamins and minerals cannot be produced by our bodies, so we need to supplement them. For example Vitamin C. It's a great immune booster, and it helps to repair cells as well.
This face map will also help a great deal to see where your problem areas are, and what they are related to. As well as the best solutions to those problems! This has helped me a great deal, as most of my acne is usually on my chin, and on my forehead.
So what's the next step?
